Wiping is done with hair, cloth or similar material. Nirdhmapana is blowing medicinal powder such as pippali or katphala through a tube into the nose. Pratimarsha is rubbing with a finger or similar means. Pravahana is bearing down or straining, with a variant form of the term in the commentary. Suction is performed with the mouth or a horn.
